HOW IT WORKS

360 RAIN is an adaptive irrigation machine that autonomously delivers water, nutrients, manure, byproduct, and other resources of your choice, banded or broadcast, across your entire field, even in irregular shapes – no corners cut.

Whether it’s a dry year or you're fine-tuning nutrient timing, 360 RAIN gives you the control to apply what your crop needs, when it needs it – water, nutrients, manure, or all three – with fewer passes, less labor, and more efficient input utilization.

Infrastructure Basics

  • Water Source: Connect to a well, lagoon, or reservoir delivering 200-250 GPM.

  • Water Pressure: 115 PSI at the well or hydrant

  • Power Requirements: The base station, located near the edge of the field, requires 110V AC. The 360 RAIN package includes an electrical panel that is pre-wired to power the GPS and cellular network as well as inputs for up to four pressure or flow sensors and up to eight relays for wells, booster pumps and injector pumps.

  • Injection System (optional): Install the 360 Injection Skid for nutrient or manure application.

  • Path Planning: 360 RAIN path creation starts by recording the planter pass using the 360 RAIN planter tower kit.

Autonomously Follows the Planter Path

Programed to follow paths around obstacles, 360 RAIN can cover any field shape - including the corners where center pivots can’t reach. A dedicated GPS and cellular communication system is included and allows the 360 RAIN unit to autonomously navigate through fields following paths created by your planter pass. The GPS receiver on the 360 RAIN machine communicates with a base station near the edge of the field. The same GPS receiver is mounted on the planter and is used to record planter paths. These paths are then transferred to the 360 RAIN machine and used as the autonomous watering paths. Cellular communication is used to provide a connection back to the 360 RAIN mobile app.

Tethered by Hose, Powered by Efficiency

360 RAIN is connected to the Field Riser via a 3,000-ft, 3-inch hose. It can draw from a variety of sources, including direct well connection, pipeline-fed risers, or surface water. A vertical reel lays out and retrieves the hose as the machine moves — covering up to 200 acres per system. Through a group of sensors, the dispenser measures ground speed, reel speed and turn radius to dispense or retrieve hose without allowing the hose to be pushed or pulled. Its diesel-electric drive uses only ½ gallon of fuel per hour, enabling up to 600 hours of run time on a single fill.

COMMUNICATIONS

360 RAIN is operated through cellular and dedicated RTK networks.

HOSE SYSTEM

With 3,000 ft of 3" hose, 360 RAIN can cover up to 200 acres.

ENGINE

With two, 150-gallon diesel tanks 360 RAIN can run up to 600 hours per fill.

Apply Water

Water is applied through a boom using either Y-DROP or flat-fan style hoses, with drop options tailored to your crop – use Y-DROP for row crops like corn and soybeans, flat-fan for solid-seeded crops like small grains or alfalfa, or custom drops for specialty crops like potatoes and onions. 360 RAIN operates efficiently with an average flow rate of 150–200 gallons per minute. As the machine moves down the field, a vertical hose reel with advanced sensors lays out hose along a backbone path and then retrieves it on the return pass. A manifold distributes water and nutrients to each drop, applying them in a 15-inch band directly over the root zone, significantly reducing evaporation compared to pivots and traveling guns.

Apply Nutrients with 360 Injection SKID

Designed to provide precise application control of water, fertilizer, and manure, the 360 Injection Skid pairs perfectly with 360 RAIN. The 360 Injection Skid consists of a combination of advanced pumping technology and controls. With variable frequency drive (VFD) technology, users can adjust the pump speed to meet specific application needs, optimizing liquid usage and efficiency. Multiple voltage options make the 360 Injection Skid adaptable to diverse operational conditions around the world.

Base Skid Components:

1. Booster Pump

2. Outlet Pressure

3. Outlet (to RAIN Machine) ~120 PSI

4. Inlet Pressure

5. Water Flow Meter

6. Water Inlet

360 Apps.png

Operate and monitor the system via the 360 RAIN app for iPhone and iPad. Adjust speed, application rate, and timing remotely with real-time visibility into every pass. Through the app, users can adjust settings for water, manure and nutrient delivery, track the system’s performance, and receive alerts for maintenance or operation issues. The app also provides real-time data on the amount of nutrients and water being applied, allowing farmers to make data-driven decisions that improve efficiency and sustainability.

Monitored + Controlled Anywhere

WORD FROM THE FIELD

Trent Stoller.png

TRENT STOLLER | OHIO

"On windy days, we aren’t able to run our center pivot irrigation because of the wind blowing the water and manure around. With the RAIN unit it’s not a problem as it lays it right at the base of the plant."
